Honeywell DL5000 Dissolved Oxygen Equilibrium Probe 

Honeywell’s DL 5000 Dissolved Oxygen probe is based on a unique and patented equilibrium probe technology that is accurate, reliable and maintenance-free.Honeywell DL5000 Dissolved Oxygen Equilibrium Probe 


This patented equilibrium probe technology is based on the partial pressure of oxygen rather than the diffusion rate of oxygen through the probe membrane. The materials of construction combined with this unique design result in a no-internal maintenance probe that is independent of process flow and fouling.


The DL5000 is housed in either a stainless steel or PVC casing to suit your specific application needs. The stainless steel probe offers the opportunity to choose the quick disconnect feature for in-line applications. This feature provides the flexibility to change only the probe after the initial installation. This eliminates the need to unwire and wire a new cell to the analyzer as the original cable can be reused.


The DL5000 is available as an integral probe used with the DirectLine 424 or 425 sensor modules or as a remote probe with a cable.  The remote DL5000 probe can be used with the DirectLine 424 or 425 sensor module or with Honeywell’s UDA2182 Universal Dual Channel Analyzer.

DL5000 represents field proven technology in the measurement of Dissolved Oxygen in power utility, industrial and municipal waste water treatment.

Honeywell DL424 PPM Dissolved Oxygen Transmitter 

Honeywell’s DirectLine® transmitter modules are the next generation family of analytical transmitters. Unique architecture in the DirectLine transmitters combines the latest in microelectronics technology with the proven performance of Honeywell’s unique sensing technologies; providing unequaled savings during installation, startup, operation and maintenance.  For dissolved oxygen measurement the DirectLine transmitter modules can be mounted integrally or remotely with the DL5000 probe.Honeywell DL424 PPM Dissolved Oxygen Transmitter 


The DirectLine architecture consists of an electronics transmitter module and a sensor which may be mounted integral to the transmitter or remotely eliminating the need and added cost of a separate analyzer or transmitter. The transmitter modules are intrinsically safe, in a weatherproof, corrosion-resistant sealed composite enclosure.   


Completing the system is a unique Honeywell sensor connected to the sensor side of the transmitter and a 4-20 mA weatherproof output cable on the power/output side. The transmitter is design for outside use in harsh environments where moisture, dust and chemical attack may be present.  For submersion or special mounting applications, a remote mounting option is available which connects the electronics module to the DO probe via a cable. The module can be mounted on a 2-inch pipe, wall or DIN rail.
Signal output of the DirectLine transmitter is a standard 4-20mAdc output proportional to dissolved Oxygen which may be connected to any host monitor or control device that accept4-20 mA loop powered inputs including:

  • Single loop Honeywell or competitive controllers
  • Honeywell’s HC900 modular control systems
  • PLCs with analog inputs
  • DCS systems
  • Honeywell’s Trendview data acquisitions systems
