A simple push button operation ranges and calibrates the SEM203 (4 to 20) mA temperature transmitter, eliminating the
need for soldering links, potentiometers or PC's.
The SEM203 in-head transmitter incorporates the latest digital technology to ensure accurate drift free linearisation.
It connects to an appropriate sensor and converts the output to a linear (4 to 20) mA output signal, providing a level of
performance at a cost that was not possible with earlier analogue types.
High accuracy and stability coupled with the flexibility of reduced stock holding and the quick and easy way of bench
re-ranging makes the SEM203 the ideal choice for the majority of temperature sensing requirements.
The SEM203 is linearised to comply with all common RTD sensor standards i.e. 0.00385, 0.003916 etc. all common
thermocouple types and 2252 Ω and 10 kΩ YSI Thermistors, and up to 10 kΩ potentiometers.
An on board LED indicates the successful completion of the range programming and also provides an instant indication
of sensor health.

The SEM205P is a low cost ‘Smart’ in head temperature transmitter that accepts Pt100 temperature sensors and converts the
output to the industry standard (4 to 20) mA transmission signal.
The SEM205XP is ATEX approved
The linearisation range and other parameters are easily programmed using a software package running under ‘WindowsTM’
without the need for re-calibration.
If no ranges are specified at order point, units will be factory set (0 to 100) °C, adaptive, BS EN60751 linearisation, upscale
burn out.

The SEM206/P is a cost effective “smart” in head transmitter that accepts PT100 temperature sensors and converts sensor output over a configured range to a standard industrial (4 to 20) mA transmission signal.
PC configuration allows the user to select Range, units and Burnout direction, without requiring calibration equipment. Configuration is performed quickly using our new USB port driven configurator by simply connecting two clips to the SEM206/P loop terminals and following the software instructions. Calibration set up may be saved as a file on the PC for later use.
The SEM206/P in head transmitter incorporates the latest digital technology to ensure accurate drift free performance. If required the desired range can be specified at the time of order, removing the need for user configuration. If the range is not specified then the transmitter will be shipped with the default range of 0 to 100 °C

SEM210 is a second generation "Smart" Head Mount temperature transmitter which accepts most commonly used temperature sensors (also slide-wire sensors or mV inputs) and generates an industry standard (4 to 20) mA transmission signal.

Output range and other operating parameters are easily programmed using RCPW software running under "Windows" without the need for re-calibration.

Isolation is a standard feature to overcome any potential ground loop effects. Two microprocessors operate together to ensure error-free transmission across the isolation barrier.

A sensor referencing facility enables the transmitter to be accurately matched to a particular sensor.

The SEM310 is an encapsulated in-head temperature transmitter with an integral spring mounting kit that replaces the standard connecting block in the sensor head. It is small in size yet has a performance superior to other larger and more expensive transmitters.

The SEM310 has full HART communications protocol which allows the user to quickly and easily download information or interrogate the device.

A sensor referencing facility enables the transmitter to be accurately matched to a particular sensor.

The STA100 is a cost effective sensor and transmitter assembly housed in a 316 Stainless Steel body with integral sensor and DIN connector. Standard immersion lengths are 50, 75, 100, and 150mm with a ½” BSP process connection. The transmitter provides a fixed range of (0 to 100) Deg C. Other ranges and configuration can be accommodated to order.

The SEM215 is a universal DIN rail mounted temperature transmitter that accepts most commonly used temperature sensors, slide wire transducers or millivolt signals, isolates and transmits them as a (4 to 20) mA signal to a host system. It can be configured by either of the following methods:

Configuration using “Quick Selector”

One of 59 pre-set ranges can be selected by using switches. The switch, located close to the rail clip, is inaccessible in normal use. This “Quick Selector” method does not require any additional calibration, and the transmitter can be put into service immediately after selection is made.

Configuration via PC

The sensor type and range are easily programmed using a PC and a simple Windows based software programme. This allows for re-programming or interrogation of the SEM215 while it is installed in the loop. Sensors can be changed without the need for re-calibration. Special sensors can be accommodated by using the type “X” option, the characterisation for these sensors are factory entered for later retrieval from the menus.

The transmitter is very compact enabling a high packing density to be achieved and by using the latest tension clamp technology for the two part terminals, connections are made in half the time taken to wire conventional screw terminals.

These terminations are maintenance free and the tension clamp ensures that the contact is permanently under tension eliminating any potential problem of loosening due to temperature fluctuations or vibration.
